Our Two-Pronged Approach To Solving Your A/C Issues Isn’t Complicated - Or Scary

If you do the following easy checks yourself you could solve your problems - and alleviate your fears - BEFORE calling one of our techs.

IF IT APPEARS YOUR HVAC SYSTEM ISN’T RUNNING AT ALL…

STEP 1: In Case Power Has Stopped Flowing to Your System

  • Check your main electrical panel for blown circuits.
  • Check fuse box next to outside condenser for blown fuses.
  • Make sure outside condenser has all switches turned on.

STEP 2: Your Thermostat May Be the Problem

  • Make sure your thermostat is at the right setting.
  • If set correctly, make sure the batteries are working.

IF YOUR AIR CONDITIONER ISN’T COOLING WELL…

STEP 1: Make Sure You Have Proper Airflow

  • If the filter is dirty, replace it with a clean one.
  • Check for debris and blockages around outside condenser.

STEP 2: Your Condensate Line Could Be the Problem

  • Inspect for backups and puddles of water.
  • Algae and mold can create clogs - and may need to be removed.

IF NONE OF THE ABOVE CHECKS IDENTIFIED A PROBLEM, YOU MAY NEED SOME TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE.

Call to schedule a visit by one of our experienced service technicians. They can check things out and have you feeling cool and comfortable again in no time.

While You’re Waiting for A Tech...

5 Tips For Staying Cool:
  • Keep blinds and curtains drawn.
  • Allow the cooler night air into your house.
  • Limit the use of heat-emitting incandescent lights.
  • Grill outside instead of cooking on the stove.
  • If you have bathroom or kitchen exhaust fans, use them to expel hot air.
